[Don't ask Diana how, why, or when. She couldn't tell you the specifics, even as a mage.

The Grail War is over, and the only one whose wish got fulfilled was Caster - 'I'd destroy the grail' - and she gave enough magical energy over to Mordred to sustain her, even through the worst of it. It takes a little doing. Diana sleeps a couple hours more than usual, and Mordred finally has an excuse for her appetite. But their link is still functioning. Mordred's alive.

Going back to the Clock Tower after all that had been an experience, too. For one thing, she'd had to go through about thirty hearings to avoid being sealed, and she's sure she has another thirty in her future. Casting all the blame on Cruz and De Leon certainly helped.

But, well, her and Mordred are alive. And parting with Caster and Berserker had been some kind of painful, but parting with Mordred would have been unbearable. She became like her second half over those two weeks.

Even if...

Even if.
]

Mordred, you are quite literally eating me out of house and home. [The only way in which she isn't is that Diana would never think of the Clock Tower as a 'home.' Especially now that she'll be having to take control of it the old-fashioned way, with elbow grease and social engineering. Good thing Diana's such a masterclass in understanding other people. Haha. Haaa...

The point is, Diana's come back to her little dorm room to find Mordred sitting on the floor, halfway into a pizza.
]

Please tell me you guilted Hannah and Barbera into buying you one, instead of using my credit card.

Please tell me you did not tell the delivery driver the address of the Clock Tower. Outsiders aren't supposed to know people live and work here.

[ Diana must be so, so glad to have her perfect knight still around. Her perfect knight, currently sprawled on the floor in tiny shorts and a sweater, shoveling pizza into her mouth. Even when she talks, it's between bites, and never with a completely empty mouth. She's gross. ]

Obviously. Just pay the guy to keep quiet the next time he comes. [ 'Next time.' She pulls Diana's credit card out of a pocket of her shorts. ] Besides, there's always money on this thing. What's the problem?

[ Not if she keeps spending it. (But that might explain the inconsistencies on the card in the past — this definitely isn't the first time, judging by Mordred's flippant attitude. Just the first time she's gotten caught.) ]
